After entering the industry in 1997 as an assistant engineer aboard the famous 150′ superyacht featured in two Hollywood blockbuster films…

and spending 5 long years working his way up through the ranks onboard luxury yachts…

Kevin St. Clair became captain of a new, Horizon 76′ motoryacht on Palm Island, Miami Beach, Florida, in 2002..at just 29 years old.

Continuing his upwardly trajectory, Kevin became licensed to sell yachts in 2020…

created the largest brokerage division in the history of his employer’s company…

and once again decided to move ‘onwards & upwards‘ by becoming the founder of St. Clair Superyachts in 2025.

March 2025, Kevin St. Clair quietly orchestrated a rare, off-market sale of the 2011 Mangusta 130′ – 40M DREAM TIM II in the South of France—introducing the buyer (whom Kevin had known previously) to the seller privately, and was trusted by all parties throughout the entire negotiation process.

Her last visible asking price online was $6,350,000.

His next successful transaction of 2025 was initiated and culminated in the Bahamas with last visible price online of $1,000,000.00.

The Mangusta 130′ (which now resides in Monaco) marked the inaugural transaction for St. Clair Superyachts, his licensed Florida superyacht brokerage…

after he’d previously spent years being trusted by buyers who purchased millions of dollars worth of yachts from him while working under his first yacht brokerage.

This year’s milestone was no fluke.

It was the natural progression of a 30-year career that began in 1997, when Kevin first crossed the Atlantic as an assistant engineer aboard the iconic superyacht featured in Overboard and Indecent Proposal.

During his international voyages at sea, Kevin immersed himself in every facet of operations—navigation, systems troubleshooting, mechanical servicing, hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics.

But Kevin didn’t just learn how superyachts work—he learned how the superyacht business works.

From 100’s of superyacht shipyard projects, negotiations, and marine haul-outs to surveys, sea trials, hiring and training professional yacht crew, and foreign-flag transactions, he was absorbing the finer points of superyacht ownership from the inside out.

1997 - Norfolk, Virginia, USA

Kevin St. Clair was hired as an assistant to the chief engineer onboard the superyacht made famous in the Hollywood films ‘Overboard’ & ‘Indecent Proposal.’

In 1998

148′ Oceanfast MOECCA – One of the superyachts Kevin St. Clair worked on-board over the next several years, gaining him valuable engine room experience.

In 1999

Crewmember onboard several East Coast, USA voyages that included engineering, deck, and navigation watchkeeping duties offshore.

Kevin St. Clair accrued valuable sea time over these FIVE years, continuing to be hired as ‘delivery crew‘ onboard dozens of superyachts after his trans-Atlantic voyage in 1998.

In 2001

MY MARYLIN Hatteras 115’ (34m) Superyacht At the time, MY MARYLIN was the largest Hatteras superyacht in the world, powered by three Caterpillar 3412 main engines. As First Mate, participated in multiple navigation runs along the U.S. East Coast. Assisted during MY MARYLIN’s haul-out and dry dock period at Safe Harbor Lauderdale Marine Center, where she received a full exterior paint job by Luu Marine. Contributed to the complete rebuild of two CAT 3412 engines, along with numerous upgrades to her exterior, interior, and mechanical systems.

In 2002

Kevin St. Clair became the yacht captain of the Horizon 76′ TINA MARIE on Palm Island in Miami Beach, Florida.

BVI Registry – Kevin would later become involved in his first foreign luxury yacht transaction onboard in 2003.

In 2004

Kevin St. Clair was hired as project manager by the owner of the new build, custom 105′ – 30m superyacht GIGI and spent time working alongside her design engineers in the Kaohsiung, Taiwan shipyard. [picture taken at Atlantis Marina – Bahamas – 2005)

In 2007

The newly purchased MAS GRANDE 120′ superyacht involved a foreign transaction (Bahamas)— extensive offshore cruising around Florida and Texas, USA.

2009 - Vessel Refit Crew - Bradford Marine - Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA

In 2020

Kevin St. Clair obtained his required Florida Yacht Sales license under his previous employer.

Kevin proceeded to list for sale…and sell millions of dollars worth of brokerage yachts…with which he was entrusted to sell by all of their respective owners.

In 2022

Kevin St. Clair was trusted by both buyer and the seller of this superyacht transaction in 2022.

This would become his largest superyacht transaction, where both parties trusted him…

until he opened his own licensed Florida Superyacht Brokerage in 2025.

In 2025

After selling millions of dollars worth of brokerage yachts during his 2-year licensing requirement tenure…
