After navigating more than 200,000nm onboard multi-million dollar yachts since 1997, Kevin St. Clair now owns a licensed Florida superyacht brokerage.
In March 2025, Kevin St. Clair quietly orchestrated a rare, off-market sale of the 2011 Mangusta 40M in the South of France—introducing buyer and seller privately, and earning the trust of both sides throughout the negotiation process.
It marked the inaugural transaction for St. Clair Superyachts, his licensed Florida superyacht brokerage.
But this milestone was no fluke. It was the natural progression of a 28-year career that began in 1997, in Norfolk, Virginia, USA, when Kevin was hired as Assistant Engineer aboard the iconic 50m superyacht featured in Overboard and Indecent Proposal.
Working under some of the superyacht industry’s most respected captains and chief engineers, Kevin gained a front-row education in how the smartest owners save money—not just when buying or selling, but throughout every phase of ownership.
In 2002, Kevin St. Clair became captain/engineer of a new, Horizon 76′ motoryacht on the elite Palm Island, Miami Beach, Florida…at just 29 years old.
During his international voyages at sea, Kevin immersed himself in every facet of operations—navigation, systems troubleshooting, mechanical servicing, hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics.
But Kevin didn’t just learn how superyachts work—he learned how the superyacht business works.
From 100s of superyacht shipyard projects, negotiations, and marine haul-outs to surveys, sea trials, hiring and training professional yacht crew, and foreign-flag transactions, he was absorbing the finer points of superyacht ownership from the inside out.
Kevin St. Clair has been entrusted with protecting and serving private yacht owners and guests, including foreign dignitaries, cabinet ministers, members of royalty, and other UHNW families while onboard superyachts.
Since then, he’s earned his reputation the old-fashioned way: through discretion, deep industry knowledge, and a sharp instinct for protecting clients’ interests—whether at sea or across the negotiation table.
